The GAIN research network brought together experts from several German research institutions to investigate the causes and treatment of genetic multi-organ autoimmune diseases. The project aimed to improve diagnosis and treatment by studying the underlying molecular and cellular mechanisms, identifying genetic causes of disease and systematically collecting clinical data in a patient registry. GAIN was funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) from 2019 to 2025.
